YOUTH WITHIN AGE

Youth, it seems is an eternal quality that is obscurred in this physical world by something that only superficially resembles 'youth'.]

Aging in Truth

Is only illusion

The recalled effects

Of our mental pollutions

Youthful adventures

Overfeed Pride

And tend to distort

Our Life's long 'Sense' Ride

Senses Indulged

Numb our present world

Distract and divert

The Truth our 'SELF' holds

So, Life's little 'journey'

Is not what it seems

It stands an obstruction

To Original Dreams

To climb over walls,

Or busting right thru them,

Seems the 'purpose' of living

A hypnotic rhythm

What aging can do

That our ego cannot

Is to slowdown our sense feast

And bring it to naught

When wrinkles and weakness

Rob the 'treasures' of Youth

Then we're left with a vision

Of Original Truth

A struggle to believe in

A faith to hold strong

A mission completed

Is 'Original Song'

Original Dream

Original Truth

Original Song

Is the Secret of Youth

Spiritual Youth

Holds and won't fade

It's Essence Eternal

It isn't man-made

We carry it Here

In our physical 'boat'

One full of holes

So, it won't stay afloat

Life's just a short boatride

An excursion of Truth

A test of our faith

A fleeting taste of our Youth

The Senses can trap

And make us forget

Our Plans and our Place

In the Infinite Net

Of Mind and Creation

Of fragments, of ONE

Of planets and Moons

Galaxies, Suns

All have condensed

To what's in the Mirror

Your face that of Nature's

No wrinkle within Her

Your Beauty without

Is your Beauty within

Time's just a distraction

To believe it ... a 'Sin'

Your Eternal Image

Of Perfection's at hand

It's Truth way too much

For this world to long stand

The Older, the Wiser

The Wiser, more Clear

The Clearer, the sooner

Your True Self appears

Youth doesn't extend to the

End of your teens

It only gets started

When the wrinkles are seen

Each line then and furrow

Each gray or white hair

Is a signal that soon

Our True Youth will appear

It won't look the same

As we're used to now seeing

We're talking the difference

Between death and BEING

All we've seen's dead;

Material debris.

It's not the True You,

It's not the True Me

It's just preparation

An extended 'time trial'

Our next Great Adventure

Will last quite a while!

Timeless adventures

Need practice - REHEARSE!

This Life is a Blessing

It isn't a curse

Each day's repetition

each 'Rep' we endure

Will just make us stronger

Our Essence more pure

The Light of these Verses

Are given to you

Your Soul knows their Truth

It knows what to 'do'

Enjoy every breath

Give thanks in all things

For still greater blessings

Your LIFE will soon bring

All things contain opposites

And, so too with Life

Endings ... Beginnings

Peace becomes strife

Age locked into Youth

So, Youth locked in Age

So, folly in Youth

And, in Age, the Great Sage

Know that all Endings

Are Beginnings in birth

It's Nature's Grand Plan

It's the Pearl of Great Worth.
